Delta BEC was appointed as the subcontractor for building design and engineering services at Ethiopia’s Bolé International Airport in Addis Ababa.
Ethiopian Airlines identified the need for an additional cargo terminal to meet the ever-increasing cargo demands at the airport.
The terminal building comprised perishable import and export cargo terminals and dry import and export cargo terminals, as well as an apron and taxiway, building works, landside roads and parking, and utilities and services such as water and electricity.
Delta BEC had to prepare engineering and construction drawings for the development of Cargo Terminal 2, which included:
- Systems Architecture
- Civil, Structural and Mechanical Engineering
- Inventory Management Systems
- Cargo Handling Systems
- Fire Detection and Prevention.
